Motherhood and Me Discussion Groups Start Soon

May 23rd, 2008 by Ronel R

Motherhood and MeYou read What to Expect When You’re Expecting and you had it all sorted. Or so you thought. Then the soft and smelly hit and you still haven’t recovered and it’s been, what, months? Years even?

Lindy Bruce, author of Motherhood and Me, is here for you. A mother to three amazing children, she knew it wasn’t going to be easy – but she wasn’t as prepared for the realities of becoming a mother as she thought. “Motherhood changed me and changed my life,” she says.

She had expected the physical changes… lack of sleep, lack of time, general chaos, a million things to do at any given moment in the day. “But I had not expected the psychological, emotional and spiritual changes that went hand in hand with the physical,” she says.

Her ultra-cool website – great design, Lindy! – has a link to the discussion groups she facilitates in Cape Town, which start next Wednesday at the Western Province Prep School. Expecting and new moms, click over and check them out!

[Note to author: Lindy, are you going to write another book for the next stage along? There's some of us parents who've nearly got the whole first-decade-of-parenthood act under control - those of us who could have used Motherhood and Me about twelve or so years ago. But our darlings just became teens. We surely could use another book now...]
